The Naipo 3D Shiatsu kneading neck and shoulder massager with heat, model number MGS-150D, is a best seller on® for many good reasons. Recently using this massager, I found the roller balls so effective on my back with the rotating globes on both sides of my spine. The deep kneading did indeed touch my muscles there that were so sore from keyboarding all day. It does feel like a massage therapist is using her knuckles or palms to push down on all muscles. I love this massager and how it feels. It is very relaxing while using and after you are finished.

The instructions in the User’s Manual are not written by a native English speaker, but you can figure it out. The one thing I wondered about was the “dust cloth.” I thought maybe it was to dust the massager off or use for my furniture! It is really a soft dense thin cover you can put over the mesh fabric covering the rotating balls attaching to itself with Velcro® if the mesh feels too harsh on your skin; it’s also washable. Since I didn’t need to put over the mesh, I might just use it to dust my furniture, except the Velcro® will scratch it!

The massager is affordable and the price is right. The black material is faux leather, not real leather, and is soft and comfortable. It will run by default 20 minutes and shut off automatically. You can turn it on again as you like. The buttons do need to be on your left arm. If you put the button panel on your right arm, the contour of the top part will not fit around your neck correctly. You can push a button to have the rotating balls go fast or slow. The other buttons are on/off, heat on/off, speed of rolling balls of low/medium/high, direction of rotation either clockwise or counterclockwise (not ‘anticlockwise’, British); the default mode will do that for you automatically. It’s great on your hips, back, legs, back of neck, tops of shoulders.

Be sure to pull long hair up off your neck to not get tangled when the balls are turning. At the end of the day, this is a great massager and felt good on my lower lumbar coccyx area at the tailbone, upper top thighs for sore tight muscles, and heavenly on my feet bottoms.

It is a little heavy and bulky, but all over-the-neck massagers are. I highly recommend the Niapo for heated Shiatsu massage that will indeed rid you of sore tight deep muscle pain and aches.

You can lean against the massager at your sofa back or recliner, but do not sleep with it under you. Do not use it on your face, head, stomach, or chest. You do not need to put your arms in the arm slings; just let the unit rest where you want it. If you do want more power to the balls turning, simply pull down on the arm slings.

Plug the UL® listed 6-foot power cord into a USA 110/120-Volt, 50/60 Hz, at 0.8-Amp input outlet, with output of 2.5-Amps, 30-Watts. It comes with a free adapter (not ‘charger’) for 12-Volt direct current (D/C) in vehicles; just plug into the cigarette lighter port. The unit does not use batteries. Outside the USA, you would need to buy an adapter to use with 220/240-Volts. The massager weighs about 4 pounds (1.8 kg) on your body.

Naipo’s website shows the adapters, not chargers to run the massager. Chargers put more energy to use back into cell phones, tablets, laptops, and more.

Don’t forget to unplug the cord from the unit itself and from the wall outlet when not using. If the buttons are accidently pushed, it could start running when no one is around.

Cleaning is a breeze using a damp cloth with detergent. Don’t use chemicals that can eat into the fabric ruining it. Towel dry. You can also unzip the cover from the inner workings and wash in soapy dish detergent. Rinse, and line dry; never put it in a clothes dryer.

  • The heat is not hot enough.
  • The arm holders are too short; could be another 6- to 8-inches longer.
  • The word “charger” needs to be removed from the Amazon description and from the User’s Manual. A charger is used to recharge batteries; this has no batteries running on electricity. The correct word is adapter.
  • The Cord is 6-feet; would be better if 12-feet to reach wall receptacles.

Gift-wrapping is available for your family and friends. You will receive the massager; User’s Manual in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian; wall and car adapters; mesh protector cloth (‘dust’ cloth); and a 1-year Warranty to cover any product quality problems. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, you can return it within 30-days from purchase date for a full refund if you do not damage the massager. The massager is made in China.
