Top 6 Best Inversion Table Reviews 2019

For detailed information about the best inversion tables, please read here. First decide what type of inversion table you want. Do you want it to be manual or have a motor?

Manual—less expensive but will need muscles to set it up, and push it to different angles.

Motorized—more expensive but lets you have a more automated experience with less physical energy pushing through angles by pushing buttons.

Manual tables function smoothly and you can position yourself without problems. However, if you have serious back pain, the motorized version might be the best option for you.

[h3line h3-text=”1.Considerations When Shopping“]

Backboard—is the support provided when getting into your position for being inverted. The high-end inversion tables have soft padded backboards usually covered in a nice smooth leather or faux leather over memory foam. Other tables have a mesh-type fabric covering.

Flexibility—the high-end models—and this might seem strange—do not offer flexibility for you to include different types of exercises. Check for an inversion table that allows you to move your body slightly farther from the table to give you more freedom without bumping your back when exercising.

Comfort—is critical when deciding on your table. The backboard superiority is a must for you to be comfortable working out. If you are not content with its feel, you might not use the table that you invested in.

Price—does not necessarily translate into comfort, flexibility, and overall quality. You have seen that in everything you buy. Direct your concerns with the following factors for a gratified purchase.

Material and Workmanship—If you are able to visit a store in person, touch the surface, cushion, ankle cushions, belts or straps that fasten; check the frame’s fasteners or hardware, any sharp or rough edges, finish quality—all of it as if you are buying a new car. Ask the manager to let you test-drive it. Also take notice of the elements that hold you for stability and safety.

Stability—is synonymous with steadiness, solidity, permanence, and strength. Be sure it stays put have rubber feet or a tough plastic that grips to any floor surface. All inversion tables are concerned with this factor.

Stress-free Use—is an important consideration. Being easy to assemble, use, and adjust in a few 2 to 3 steps is best for most users. Try to find a brand where the height adjustment, central bar is easy and you are ready to hang upside down. Simplicity avoids frustrating chaos!

Ankle Restraints—are an important part of an inversion table and yes, your ankles must be confined to hold you in place safely. They need to be comfortable holding you steadily in place and keeping your legs in the correct position. You will want a restraint that is easy on and easy off.

Two types are available with one being a bar type and the adjustable strap type. The bar type lets you anchor your ankles down while the strap type keeps you in place. Choose the type where you are the most confident and comfortable while being inverted.

Ankle pain is common with most users and it’s not necessary a fault with the equipment. Remember, your weight is suspended by your ankles. Thick socks will help and always use athletic shoes—never ever go bare foot. If the pain is intolerable, agonizing, or excruciating, select a different brand and model. Do not try to work through that amount of pain because you can cause an injury.

Structure—the frame is very important for holding your weight. Stay away from flimsy construction. You will want a metal frame. Period. Do not purchase some of the tables with plastic frames. With strong robust metal, you will feel safe and secure.

Weight Capacity—Check the capacity for body weight when buying at a store or online. This is important. You want an inversion table that can support you body’s weight while hanging. Always check the ankle clamps, fasteners, or bar. If the ankle device is not solid, you might have pain and feel unsure of yourself being in the fully inverted mode.

Floor and Storage Space—this is an important consideration if you live in a small tight apartment. This equipment is bulky and you will need space. Product brands usually give all specifications. If you are in a store, talk with the representative or manager that understands the inversion table. Most fold up to be put in a large closet or corner of a room. Always check the table’s measurements and all specifications for a satisfied purchase by you.

Cost—this fluctuates from a few hundred dollars to a thousand dollars depending on all the bells and whistles, brand, and features. If you are a beginner, the $250 range will probably work for you. A seasoned user might want to spend $1000. You can purchase an adequate table from $300 to $500.

Warranties and Guarantees—are critically important. The better brands usually offer a 1-year warranty. Conversely, some brands provide warranties for 5 years, and that’s better.

Safety—is a huge concern for all buyers of inversion tables. Be sure to check for safety features and disclosures. You do not want to injure yourself or fall. If in person shopping, check and double check the components, hardware, and attachments and discuss with the sales rep. Be sure you know the weight limit of the table for it to hold you. If you are shopping online, check all specifications, even to include emailing the manufacturer directly with your questions and concerns.

One thought on “Top 6 Best Inversion Table Reviews 2019

  1. I purchased the first inversion table listed here: the Ironman Gravity 4000. I’d read an earlier review on a site for spine health.

I do not turn entirely upside down, as I read in many articles that this was really not necessary in order to get therapeutic results. In fact, I found it painful to my back when I first tested my table and tilted my head upside down. So I use this table’s anchor feature to set it to the recommended 30 to 35 degrees, which works great and provides much relief.

This table lives up to every good thing said about it. It is sturdy, adjustable, inverts very smoothly and easily. And I only wish I’d bought one years ago.

I disagree with one aspect of this article’s suggestions: that using a motorized unit is better if one has very bad back pain. I am very glad this unit is manual because when I am at my worst pain, I can tilt into position very slowly at my own pace, and tilt upright a smidge again immediately as needed. If it were motorized, I would not have that finetuned nor fast of control.

The Ironman Gravity 4000 has big, long handles that are very easy to grip and manually move myself into any position that provides the relief I seek.

The cost was very reasonable, the table is very comfortable, and I am able to perform core strengthening and lumbar flexibility exercises while inverted, with one or both feet anchored.

My husband also enjoys using the Ironman Gravity 4000 unit and we would recommend it to our friends anytime.
